As part of our mission to give you access to the best experts in the industry, the better web co is excited to announce that it’s adding Gareth Beavis to the team as Editorial Director.
As the former Global Editor-In-Chief of TechRadar and Chief Content Officer for Saga, Gareth brings decades of experience in all aspects of the editorial process, from how to craft truly engaging copy to managing large, international editorial teams in high-pressure situations.
By adding his expertise to the better web co. team, we’re excited to be able to offer a new level of insight and advice to help you grow your business, solve problems and bring new perspectives to existing strategies.
The role of Editorial Director will be responsible for informing and extending our editorial proposition, thanks to Gareth’s extensive knowledge of how to integrate SEO and audience development strategies into a well-structured and rigorous digital environment.
Gareth has spent years crafting editorial strategies to entertain and inspire readers in new ways, building audiences of millions via SEO, Google Discover, Google News and newsletters, with a strong focus on the editorial standards needed to turn casual viewers into fans of a brand.
In his time at TechRadar, he helped develop the deep review strategies and strong SEO principles that helped propel the brand to the top of rankings, reaching over 70 million readers per month.
He’s passionate about embedding editorial processes that allow both new and experienced staff members to flourish, and has previously developed agile responses to deliver strong affiliate performance across events like Black Friday, iPhone launches or editorial themed weeks in partnership with high-end sponsors.
He’s also overseen the creation and execution of multiple newsletters across a range of topics, combining a focus on best-in-class content with a data-led approach, leading to millions of subscribers and high open rates of over 40%.
